Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zack Skyshriek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Glen Starner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skyshriek comes to the cage accompanied by Moonlight Sonata. Zack Skyshriek has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 14 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Zack Skyshriek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Glen Starner!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starner takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Skyshriek throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Skyshriek throws a leg kick but Starner moved away.
Starner moves in looking to clinch but Skyshriek pushes him off.

Starner closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Starner working the body and head with strikes.
Skyshriek tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Skyshriek is working hard here to advance position.
Starner tries to score with some ground and pound. Skyshriek controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Skyshriek sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Starner lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Starner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Skyshriek with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Starner thows a huge punch but Skyshriek dodges it nicely.
Skyshriek has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Starner is working away from the top position though.

Starner is looking to advance position but Skyshriek won't allow it.

Starner stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Skyshriek swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Skyshriek working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Starner doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Starner manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Skyshriek throws out a leg kick but Starner moves out of range and Skyshriek only half commits.
Skyshriek fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Starner checks it well.
Skyshriek on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Skyshriek dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Starner. That did some damage!

Skyshriek manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Starner on his heels. He'll look to pass Starner's guard now, I'm sure.

Skyshriek got a little sloppy there for a moment and Starner has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Skyshriek has managed to get both his arms back between Starner's legs - danger averted.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Zack Skyshriek will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
