Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wilber Bender (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sabastiaan De Wit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wilber Bender!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sabastiaan De Wit!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bender gets tackled into the cage by De Wit. De Wit maintains the clinch.
De Wit has a couple of punches blocked by Bender.
Bender is trying to push De Wit away but De Wit has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Bender avoiding damage as De Wit throws knees to the body.
De Wit with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Bender throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but De Wit blocks it with crossed arms.
Bender could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bender wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Bender pulls guard successfully.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Bender trying to keep a closed guard but De Wit is proving a slippery customer.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
De Wit is stalling in the full guard.
Bender might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
De Wit trying to control the position from guard on top but Bender is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

De Wit wants to stand but Bender has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
De Wit engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sabastiaan De Wit was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bender is looking to land body kicks.

De Wit gets a takedown into half guard.
De Wit keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
De Wit wants to take a breather but Bender is having none of it.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Bender won't allow De Wit to pass to mount.
Ground and pound from De Wit.
De Wit slows the pace down in half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sabastiaan De Wit hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
The fight stays on the outside here - De Wit looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bender chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before De Wit can pounce on him.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bender shoots for a takedown but De Wit saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

De Wit clinches.

Bender on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
De Wit throws a knee to the head but misses.
Bender blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Bender tries to pull guard but De Wit won't allow it.
De Wit lands a good knee to the midsection. Bender won't want to take too many of those.
De Wit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Bender walks away with a smile on his face. De Wit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
A nice leg kick lands there from De Wit.
Bender keeps the fight on the outside.
Bender misses with a takedown attempt - De Wit sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wilber Bender. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bender is breathing heavily.
Bender being controlled here, momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bender tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
De Wit throwing strikes from guard but Bender blocks nicely.
De Wit working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bender's head.
De Wit trying to control the position from guard on top but Bender is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
De Wit has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
De Wit throws a big elbow that misses.
De Wit is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sabastiaan De Wit dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Bender digs a good hook to De Wit's body.
De Wit shoots in for a takedown but Bender shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Bender fails to land the takedown.
De Wit fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Bender gets tackled into the cage by De Wit. De Wit maintains the clinch.
De Wit pushes off an throws an elbow but Bender leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

De Wit tries to pull guard but Bender holds him up against the cage and eventually De Wit drops back down to his feet.
Wilber Bender has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sabastiaan De Wit.
Bender changes levels and goes for a takedown here. De Wit fights it off and pushes away nicely.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from De Wit is defended easily by Bender.
Bender keeps the fight on the outside.
De Wit tries to clinch up
and Bender counters with a left and a right that stings De Wit.
De Wit shoots for a double leg takedown but Bender sprawls well. He's pushed De Wit's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bender closes the distance and clinches up with De Wit, looking for a takedown. Bender pushes De Wit against the cage but De Wit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Bender moves into the clinch.

De Wit gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Wilber Bender has been cut.
Bender is trying to force a seperation but De Wit has the dominant position.
De Wit throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
De Wit creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Bender's defenses.

De Wit gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with De Wit in particular looking to stall.

De Wit is trying to work for a kimura but Bender is defending well.

De Wit content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Bender is refusing to be controlled, as De Wit sits in half guard.

De Wit is working for a kimura but Bender is defending it quite comfortably.
Bender is trying to control but De Wit passes into side control!

Bender is trying to control De Wit's posture but De Wit avoids it.
De Wit tries to score with some ground and pound. Bender controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
De Wit wants to control but Bender is keeping him busy.
De Wit throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Bender works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sabastiaan De Wit showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Wilber Bender's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Bender controlling the action here for a moment.
De Wit lands a knee to the head.
Bender tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Bender wants to get back to striking at distance but De Wit won't allow it.
De Wit is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Bender is defending well for now.
De Wit misses with an elbow strike.

Bender jumps guard but De Wit stands there with Bender around his waist. Bender gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

De Wit manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Bender wants to control from the top but De Wit keeps moving.
Bender postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Bender throws an elbow that misses. De Wit uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bender's guard. Nice move by De Wit!
Bender looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but De Wit puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Well, if De Wit is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

De Wit wants to work for an arm triangle but Bender is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

De Wit escapes and gets back to his feet.

De Wit clinches up with Bender and pushes him back against the cage.
Bender blocks a body shot from De Wit.

De Wit has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bender after a bit of a struggle.

De Wit tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
De Wit is trying to pull guard but Bender has him pressed against the cage.

De Wit gets through Bender's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Sabastiaan De Wit seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
De Wit lands a good knee to the midsection. Bender won't want to take too many of those.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Sabastiaan De Wit is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Sabastiaan De Wit comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well De Wit has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
