PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ladislav Hemsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tesco Vee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Hemsky might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Onward to Victory. Vee is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple man. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hemsky connects with a body shot that sends Vee's belly button to the back.
Vee shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hemsky defends it nicely.
Vee lands a right hook to the body.
Hemsky avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Hemsky connects with a right hand. Vee shakes it off.
Hemsky dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Vee. That did some damage!
Vee throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Hemsky fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Vee is out of range.
Vee takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Hemsky throws a head kick that misses.
Hemsky feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Vee's calf.
A slapping leg kick lands for Vee.
Vee pulls out of a head kick attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Hemsky counters with a stiff right hand.
Vee scores with a crisp jab that stopped Hemsky in his tracks.

Vee takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hemsky tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vee was well out of range. Poor timing from Hemsky.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Vee has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Hemsky connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Hemsky thows a body shot but no joy.
Vee fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Hemsky has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Hemsky throws a leg kick but Vee sees it coming and moves out of range.

Ladislav Hemsky is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hemsky lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

A head kick misses from Hemsky.
Vee blocks a head kick by Hemsky.
Hemsky defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Vee.
A right-left combo lands from Vee.
Hemsky buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Hemsky feints and then cracks Vee's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vee down.
Vee throws a hook but Hemsky blocks it.

and Vee counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hemsky!

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Vee misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Vee scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hemsky to see if he's OK.
Vee gets to mount! Hemsky was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Vee cracks Hemsky with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
