Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Raphson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Derick Rose!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose keeps the fight on the outside.
Raphson misses with a few strikes there.
Rose circles away from the clinch attempt
and Rose counters with a series of strikes. Raphson will be more careful next time no doubt.
Rose moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Nice straight punches there by Rose. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rose.
Rose avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Raphson has closed the distance and engaged Rose in a clinch.
Rose tries to break free but Raphson pushes him back against the cage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

A nice right hand lands inside from Rose.

Rose's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Raphson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Raphson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Rose's brow.

Rose looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Rose lands a right hand that snaps the head of Raphson backwards.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Raphson for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Rose blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Raphson throws an elbow that misses.
Rose misses with the head strike.
With the fighters up against the cage, Raphson throws an elbow but misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rose ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Rose swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Raphson.
Raphson slips under a jab from Rose.
Rose keeps the fight on the outside.
Raphson throws a series of punches but Rose avoids them all with ease.
Rose fails to land with a series of punches.
Raphson tries to clinch up but Rose circles away and keeps his distance.
Raphson moves in looking to clinch but Rose pushes him off.
Raphson doesn't manage to clinch there - Rose circles away.
Raphson scoring well with a low kick there.
Rose misses with the combination.
Rose throws a lazy right hand but Raphson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Rose throws the left hand but Raphson avoids the punch easily.
Rose lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.


Raphson is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Rose cracks Raphson with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Raphson tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Rose pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Raphson is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Derick Rose!
