Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stanislav Votava (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johannes Maanpohja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Votava comes to the cage accompanied by I Stand Alone. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Johannes Maanpohja!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maanpohja takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Maanpohja shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Maanpohja is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Votava kicks off Maanpohja and gets to his feet.

Maanpohja shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Votava is trying to defend but Maanpohja finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Votava looks like he's trying to stand up.
Votava makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Votava.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Maanpohja lands a couple of digs.
Maanpohja wants to control from the top but Votava keeps moving.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Johannes Maanpohja was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Maanpohja gets the takedown into side control.
Votava tries to bench press Maanpohja off him but Maanpohja keeps the position.

Maanpohja has hold of Votava's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Votava seems comfortable defending it but Maanpohja has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Votava is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Votava is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Maanpohja couldn't care less - he's delighted!

After the fight, Johannes Maanpohja was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
