Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Doom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kennedy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Killing in the name of - Rage against the Machine!. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

With the fighters up against the cage, Doom throws an elbow but misses.
Kennedy lands a nice uppercut.
Kennedy makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Kennedy pushes Doom back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Kennedy slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. John Kennedy hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Doom ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kennedy moves away.

Kennedy throws an overhand right that lands on Doom's shoulder, as Doom tries to avoid the shot.
Kennedy looks to land a combination but Doom avoids it well.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kennedy.

Doom will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Doom shoots in and bounces Kennedy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Doom is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kennedy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kennedy has escaped and now he's on top!

Kennedy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kennedy wants it to stay on the feet.
John Kennedy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
