Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Iggor Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fritz Haarmann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haarmann has chosen Macabre - Fritz Haarmann The Butcher as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fritz Haarmann has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haarmann goes for a double leg but Souza avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Souza continues to drive forward.

Souza's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Iggor Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Haarmann shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Souza pinned against the cage. Souza gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Haarmann shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Souza as he avoids it easily.
Iggor Souza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fritz Haarmann.
Haarmann shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Souza as he jumps to the side.
Souza misses the shot to the body.
Haarmann slaps away a takedown attempt from Souza, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Haarmann misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Souza throws a solid leg kick but Haarmann takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Souza.

Haarmann tries to score a power double leg takedown but Souza sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haarmann somewhat.
Haarmann shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Souza sprawls well. Souza wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Haarmann gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Haarmann or perhaps it was just good defense by Souza which made him look bad.

Souza lands a nice leg kick that just misses Haarmann's sensitive parts.

Haarmann tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Souza swivels and escapes.
Nice sprawl there from Haarmann as Souza shoots in.
Haarmann leaves Souza with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Haarmann changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Souza tries to avoid it but Haarmann manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Souza to the ground. Souza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Souza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Souza tries a head kick but it misses.
Haarmann shoots in and drives through. Souza sprawls well.

Souza pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Haarmann fails to land the takedown.
No luck for Haarmann with that takedown attempt.
Souza shoots in for a takedown but Haarmann shows good takedown defense.

and Haarmann counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Souza is breathing heavily.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Haarmann works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Souza is looking to escape.

Haarmann is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Souza has managed to free his arm - good work.

Haarmann is trying to control the action in half guard but Souza is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Haarmann is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Souza doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Haarmann.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Haarmann frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Haarmann is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Souza is forced to tap! Great finish!

A relieved looking Fritz Haarmann thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
