Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fedor A million ankle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hiranuka Stakanu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think A million ankle might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to punchout. Stakanu has chosen Oy, To Ne Vecher as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stakanu scores with a jab to the jaw.
A million ankle displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stakanu.
Stakanu throws a poor cross that misses
and A million ankle counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Stakanu throws a series of punches but A million ankle avoids them all with ease.
A looping hook to the body misses from A million ankle. Stakanu does a little dance to reset his feet.
A million ankle gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
A million ankle looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A million ankle walks into a stiff left hand from Stakanu.
The fighters circle momentarily. Stakanu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Stakanu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as A million ankle sprawls well. A million ankle wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stakanu gets slowly back to his feet.

Stakanu throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around A million ankle's waist but A million ankle gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Stakanu off to one side.

Stakanu lands a glancing blow to the side of A million ankle's head.
A million ankle uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Stakanu.

Stakanu bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in A million ankle's guard.

Stakanu wants to pass the guard but A million ankle is keeping the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hiranuka Stakanu dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Stakanu's corner calls for a 1-2. Stakanu obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

and A million ankle counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A momentary lapse in concentration from A million ankle enables Stakanu to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. A million ankle manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A million ankle knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stakanu on the ground.
Stakanu passes easily into side control. Nice work.

The ground and pound from Stakanu seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Stakanu goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, A million ankle has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Stakanu but great work by A million ankle.
Stakanu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but A million ankle wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Stakanu has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for A million ankle. Oh but Stakanu has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! A million ankle goes limp - he's gone! Stakanu jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
