The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kalaso fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Anier, pushing him back against the cage.
Kalaso works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.

Kalaso breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Kalaso got a little sloppy there for a moment and Anier has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kalaso has managed to get both his arms back between Anier's legs - danger averted.
Anier is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Anier has Kalaso pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Anier pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Kalaso tumbling to the mat - Anier dives into Kalaso's guard.
