Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tommy DeVito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michak Ropuia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ropuia has chosen Here comes the pain - Slayer as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tommy DeVito!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Michak Ropuia!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ropuia walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
DeVito fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Ropuia on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by DeVito. DeVito obviously looking to wear him down.
DeVito fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ropuia has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by DeVito.
Michak Ropuia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
DeVito scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Ropuia lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and DeVito has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from DeVito and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ropuia doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Ropuia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Ropuia fails with the takedown
and DeVito counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
DeVito fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Ropuia has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from DeVito finds it's way round the side to connect with Ropuia's head.
DeVito scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
DeVito lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ropuia gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and DeVito counters with a low kick, right behind Ropuia 's knee.
Tommy DeVito has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michak Ropuia.
DeVito goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

That's one minute gone in the round.

DeVito lands a big head kick that sends Ropuia tumbling to the mat! DeVito takes a step backwards and waves Ropuia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Ropuia is rocked!
DeVito walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Ropuia drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! DeVito swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Ropuia's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tommy DeVito!
