Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dorian Petersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ray Bombo!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bombo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Petersen keeping moving, preventing Bombo from controlling successfully.
Petersen is trying to control the position but Bombo postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Petersen keeping full guard, as Bombo tries to pass.

Petersen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bombo with a nice head shot there.
Bombo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Still in half guard, Bombo seems content to control.
Petersen is not content to let Bombo control the position.
Petersen manages to get to full guard.

Petersen has momentary wrist control but Bombo slips an elbow through the middle.
Bombo postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bombo passes into half guard.
Bombo wants to take a breather but Petersen is having none of it.

Bombo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Petersen defends it well.

Petersen is trying to control the position but Bombo postures up.

Bombo looking to sit in guard and control but Petersen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Petersen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Bombo has his foot on Petersen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Petersen works his way back into a safe position though.

Bombo uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Petersen throws a head kick that looked like it stung.


It looks like Ray Bombo has been cut.
Petersen is looking to clinch but Bombo is avoiding it.
Bombo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Petersen misses with a takedown

and Bombo counters by clinching up.

Bombo breaks the clinch.

Petersen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Petersen dives in and grabs Bombo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bombo pushes down on Petersen's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dorian Petersen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Petersen misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Petersen is breathing heavily.
Bombo shoots in for a takedown but Petersen shows good takedown defense.
Bombo tries to clinch there but Petersen circles away.
Petersen defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Bombo.
Bombo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Petersen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Bombo counters with a head kick. That will keep Petersen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Petersen is looking to slow Bombo down with leg kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bombo shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Petersen napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Petersen is looking to reverse the position.
Petersen stops Bombo from passing to mount.
Petersen takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Bombo decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Bombo moves into the clinch.

Petersen escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
The fight stays on the outside here - Bombo looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Bombo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Petersen manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Petersen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Bombo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Bombo closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Petersen quickly recovers to half guard.

Bombo stands up and beckons Petersen to join him on the feet.
Bombo throws a sloppy head kick
and Petersen counters with a nice body kick.
Bombo is breathing heavily.
Bombo has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Petersen finds it's way round the side to connect with Bombo's head.
A nice inside leg kick there by Petersen. That's going to slow Bombo down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Petersen changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Petersen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Petersen fails with a takedown attempt.
Bombo is looking to clinch but Petersen is avoiding it.

Petersen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bombo manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bombo has a takedown stuffed.
Petersen wants to clinch.
Petersen closes the distance and clinches up with Bombo, looking for a takedown. Petersen pushes Bombo against the cage but Bombo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Bombo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Petersen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bombo.

Petersen tries for a takedown but Bombo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Bombo tries to stand and escape but Petersen is controlling the position.
Petersen is refusing to be controlled, as Bombo sits in half guard.
Ray Bombo has got the better of the ground game so far.
Bombo prevents Petersen from improving his position.

Petersen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Bombo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Petersen doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bombo.
Petersen is trying to maintain the position but Bombo is very close to passing his half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bombo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Petersen is just riding it out for now. Bombo eventually gives up the hold.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ray Bombo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Bombo slaps away a takedown attempt from Petersen, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bombo fails to land the takedown.
Bombo shoots in looking for a takedown. Petersen tries to sprawl out of it but Bombo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Petersen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bombo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Petersen to the ground. Bombo is now in Petersen's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bombo distracts Petersen with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bombo trying to control the position from guard on top but Petersen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Petersen will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Petersen looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Bombo puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Bombo wants to advance to full mount but Petersen doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Bombo stops Petersen from standing up.
Petersen looking for a sweep. Not yet Petersen, not yet.
Bombo trying to control but Petersen is working from the bottom.

Petersen trying to control the position.
Bombo wanted to stand there but Petersen had control of the position.
Petersen wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Bombo manages to pass to side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bombo is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Petersen is working to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bombo is landing with some decent strikes but Petersen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bombo controlling the position easily from mount.
Bombo working away from the top, dropping strikes.
Petersen reaches up to try and control the position but Bombo seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Petersen rolls and tries to escape and now Bombo has his back!

Petersen trying to control the hands but Bombo won't let him.

Bombo is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Petersen has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Bombo just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Ray Bombo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Bombo winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
