Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Chris Saunders and Josh West.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chase closes the distance and clinches up with Scott, looking for a takedown. Chase pushes Scott against the cage but Scott circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chase defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Scott.
Scott shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Chase as he jumps to the side.
Chase will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Scott fails to land the takedown.
John Chase has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Scott.
Scott shoots in but Chase avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Chase fails in his attempt to clinch.
John Chase seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chase scores with a punch to the head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Scott.
Scott keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chase is fending him off so far but Scott persists. Nope, Chase circles away and we're back to standing.
Scott tries for a takedown but Chase sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Chase moves into the clinch.
Scott has had enough of the clinch but Chase keeps him there for the moment.
Chase really is a fat lump.

Chase gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Scott regains guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Scott looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Chase is defending well. Scott quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Chase has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Scott celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
