Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez throws a right and a left that both miss.
Martinez slaps away a takedown attempt from Joseph, before circling back to the center of the mat.

We're going to have a standup here because Shelton Joseph wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Martinez takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Leo Martinez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Joseph shoots in looking for a takedown. Martinez tries to sprawl out of it but Joseph keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Martinez manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Joseph shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Martinez as he jumps to the side.
Leo Martinez seems to be getting the better of the standup.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
