PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jet Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryu Hayabusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chan has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jet Chan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ryu Hayabusa!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hayabusa cracks Chan with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Chan looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hayabusa finish him?

It looks like Jet Chan has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Chan tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hayabusa swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hayabusa displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Chan.
Chan is breathing heavily.
Hayabusa scores with a body shot.

Hayabusa moves into range and clinches up with Chan.
Hayabusa stalling in the clinch.
Hayabusa works on Chan's body with a couple of short punches.
Nice body punch from Hayabusa - that landed with a thud.
Hayabusa lands a right hand that snaps the head of Chan backwards.
Hayabusa will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Chan up against the cage.

Hayabusa lands a vicious elbow to the side of Chan's head that scrambles his senses and sends him wobbling down to the canvas! Hayabusa tries to finish him with strikes but Chan still seems able to defend himself so Hayabusa steps back and lets Chan get back to his feet - he wants no part of the ground game.

Chan is rocked!
Hayabusa darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Chan's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Hayabusa before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.
