The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Kingsley blocks a head kick by Savage.
Savage wants to slow Kingsley down by chopping away at his legs.
Kingsley tries to clinch

and Savage counters with a single leg into guard. Kingsley didn't expect that.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Savage looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We're going to have a standup here because Billy Savage wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Savage misses with a kick to the body
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Savage connects with a body shot.
Savage has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kingsley shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Savage is trying to defend but Kingsley finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Savage tries to kick Kingsley off but Kingsley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Kingsley seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Savage pushes Kingsley off looking to stand but Kingsley dives back in and keeps control.

Savage kicks Kingsley off and gets back to his feet.
Kingsley tries to clinch there but Savage circles away.

Savage lands the left hand.
Kingsley has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Savage avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Savage cracks Kingsley with a hook to the temple - Kingsley is on wobbly legs here! Savage swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Kingsley falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Savage wins by TKO!
