The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sirichok won't be happy with that.

Silva has control of an arm but Sirichok manages to advance to Silva's back!
Silva looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Silva breaks Sirichok's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Silva seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Braun Silva just wasn't active enough.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Silva is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sirichok has escaped the position, nice work there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Sirichok is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Silva yanks on the arm and Sirichok is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Silva.
