Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, John Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jerry Sophrone!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Sophrone.
Chase tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Sophrone swivels and escapes.
Chase fails with a takedown attempt.
Chase shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Chase. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sophrone misses with a wild combination.
Chase really is a fat lump.
Sophrone throws a nice looking combination but Chase bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Chase lands a nice looking kick to the body. Sophrone takes a step back to recover.
Chase tries to clinch
and Sophrone connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like John Chase has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sophrone shoots in but Chase avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Sophrone misses with a wild combination.
Chase fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Chase lands a lovely overhand right.
Sophrone swats away the attempt to clinch by Chase.
Chase fails with the takedown.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Chase throws a jab when Sophrone was well out of range.
Sophrone fails to land with a series of punches.
Sophrone swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Chase counters with a head kick.
Chase shoots in looking for a takedown. Sophrone tries to sprawl out of it but Chase keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Sophrone manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Chase shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Sophrone counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Chase badly! Sophrone follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Chase out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Sophrone finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jerry Sophrone!
