Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Clark Channell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pawel Konopacki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clark Channell has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Clark Channell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Pawel Konopacki!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice straight punches there by Konopacki. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Konopacki.
Channell looks for a takedown but Konopacki sprawls well.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Konopacki has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Konopacki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Konopacki lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Channell shoots in and drives through. Konopacki sprawls well.
Konopacki tries to bum rush Channell with a series of wild strikes but Channell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Konopacki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Konopacki showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Channell is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Konopacki is taking a breather. Channell says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Channell had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Konopacki defends it easily.

That's time! Channell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!

Well Konopacki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
