The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Iovenitti moves into the clinch.

Donovan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Iovenitti as he jumps to the side.

Donovan tries to score with some ground and pound. Iovenitti controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The referee warns Iovenitti that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Donovan swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Iovenitti is now in Donovan's guard. A big mistake from Donovan there, giving up the dominant position!

Iovenitti content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Donovan has locked up a guillotine! Donovan's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Iovenitti is holding on here and Donovan must be using up a lot of energy. Iovenitti has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Donovan gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
