Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Reinaldo Vaughn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Colby Hinckley!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinckley ducks right into an uppercut from Vaughn.

Hinckley fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Vaughn, pushing him back against the cage.
A short body shot lands from Hinckley as the two fighters clinch.

Hinckley drags the fight down to the ground.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Vaughn postures up.
Vaughn postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Colby Hinckley wasn't active enough on the ground.

Hinckley is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hinckley passes into side control, despite Vaughn's attempt to control the position.
Vaughn is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Vaughn parries the strikes from Hinckley easily there. Hinckley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Vaughn to escape.
Hinckley gets to mount! Vaughn was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Hinckley misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Hinckley prevents Vaughn from getting the reversal.
Vaughn is trying to reverse the position but instead Hinckley has taken his back - oops!

Vaughn tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Hinckley wants to control the pace but Vaughn is squirming around nicely.

Hinckley goes for an armbar but Vaughn turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Vaughn.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Vaughn postures up in Hinckley's guard and throws a big left but Hinckley blocks it.
Vaughn is in close to Hinckley's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Hinckley thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Vaughn accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Vaughn chips away with some ground and pound.
Vaughn throws an elbow that misses. Hinckley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Vaughn's guard. Nice move by Hinckley!

Vaughn can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hinckley controls the pace.

Vaughn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hinckley manages to get himself to full guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Vaughn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hinckley is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Colby Hinckley will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Hinckley is looking to take a break and control but Vaughn is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Hinckley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Vaughn keeps working.

Vaughn has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Hinckley is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Vaughn can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Vaughn drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Vaughn jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Vaughn lands with a hook. Hinckley tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Hinckley looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Vaughn connects with a nice short shot to Hinckley's temple.
