The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clausen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Thompson.
Thompson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Clausen sizes up Thompson with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Thompson shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Clausen as he avoids it easily.

and Thompson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Clausen's knee momentarily.
A nice leg kick lands there from Thompson.
Clausen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like Hunter Thompson has been cut.

We've been told by Thompson's head coaches at Sensei Sens's & co. Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Thompson gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Clausen counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Thompson tries to score a power double leg takedown but Clausen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Thompson somewhat.

Clausen drops Thompson with a beautiful combination! Thompson stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Clausen is looking for the KO!
