The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Parks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Parks wants to get up but he can't break Barbosa's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Barbosa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Parks turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Parks manages to end up in side control.

Barbosa shoots in but Parks avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Parks drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Barbosa keeps Parks under control for a moment.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
You can see the frustration on Barbosa's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close second round but I would say that Clifton Parks will probably get the nod.
That's time! Parks's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Parks decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Barbosa moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Barbosa is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Parks is surviving well by controlling Barbosa's body position as best he can.

Barbosa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Barbosa wants to stand but Parks is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
