The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makatua misses with a leg kick.

Makatua connects with a leg kick. Darse looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Sam Makatua seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Darse tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Makatua uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Darse has time to react.

Makatua feints and then cracks Darse's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Darse down.
Darse's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Makatua bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Makatua fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Makatua works over Darse's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Lar Darse has been cut.

Makatua fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Darse has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Darse takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Darse wants to clinch up but Makatua keeps it at a distance.
Makatua lands a head kick. Darse smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Darse has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Darse is rocked!

Darse walks into a picture perfect straight right hand from Makatua! He's gone down face first to the canvas, unconscious before he even hit the floor! Ohhhh. My. Goodness! That boys and girls was a beautiful knockout! Give that man a biscuit!
