The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Myers closes the distance and clinches up with Pipey, looking for a takedown. Myers pushes Pipey against the cage but Pipey circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pipey looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Myers is fending him off so far but Pipey persists. Nope, Myers circles away and we're back to standing.
Horrible takedown by Pipey or perhaps it was just good defense by Myers which made him look bad.

It looks like Len Myers has been cut.
Pipey is looking to clinch.
Pipey fails to land the takedown.
Len Myers has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stripe Pipey.

Myers closes the distance and clinches.
Pipey has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Myers avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Pipey fails to land.
Myers stalling.
Myers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Myers goes for a takedown in the clinch but Pipey prevents it.
Pipey lands a knee to the head.

Pipey escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Myers misses with a body punch

Pipey has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Myers is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Pipey is trying to drag Myers to the mat but Myers just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Myers wants a takedown but no success here.
Myers really is a fat lump.
Pipey is trying to maintain a safe position but Myers gets an underhook and turns Pipey into the cage.
Pipey blocks a body shot from Myers.

Pipey is trying to force a seperation but Myers has the dominant position.
Pipey gets underhooks to prevent Myers's takedown attempt.
Pipey wants a takedown.
Pipey stalling in the clinch but Myers improves position.
Myers avoiding damage.
Myers is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Myers manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Pipey trying to control the position from guard on top but Myers is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Myers has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Pipey has passed into side control.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pipey decides to stand up, so the ref orders Myers to his feet.

Myers displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Pipey rushes Myers and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pipey is struggling to control the position.

Pipey manages to break the clinch.
Pipey goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Myers stuffs the takedown attempt from Pipey. Pipey gets slowly back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pipey changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Myers looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Myers is trying to get back to half guard.

Pipey fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Pipey tries to advance to mount but Myers denies him.

Pipey decides to stand up, so the ref orders Myers to his feet.
Myers looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Myers is breathing heavily.

Pipey shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Pipey was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Myers is trying to control Pipey's posture but Pipey avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Stripe Pipey dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Len Myers's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Pipey tries to clinch up.
Pipey dives in for a single leg takedown but Myers sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Myers breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Pipey closes the distance and clinches up with Myers, looking for a takedown. Pipey pushes Myers against the cage but Myers circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Myers doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pipey counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Myers! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
