Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Cormeir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Milan Michalek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Cormeir might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to -N- The Bay. Milan Michalek will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cain Cormeir!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Milan Michalek!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michalek pushes Cormeir away with a front kick.
Cormeir shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Cormeir showed some decent athleticism there.
Cormeir throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Cormeir thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Michalek's head.
Cormeir not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Michalek trying to hold on to Cormeir's head to control him but Cormeir postures up.
Cormeir is nestled in close to Michalek, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Cormeir drops an elbow to the side of Michalek's head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Michalek regains full guard. Nicely done.
Cormeir throws a strike but Michalek rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Cormeir pulls Michalek in close to his closed guard and prevents Michalek from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cormeir has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Michalek trying to control the position from guard on top but Cormeir is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Cain Cormeir.
Cormeir shoots in and bounces Michalek off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Cormeir keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Michalek's head.
Cormeir throws an elbow that misses. Michalek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cormeir's guard. Nice move by Michalek!
Michalek is looking to pass into half guard but Cormeir pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Cormeir is in guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Michalek has his hands on Cormeir's head, controlling the position.
Cormeir scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Cormeir missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Cormeir throws a strike but Michalek rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Michalek pushes down on Cormeir's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Michalek content to control rather than advance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Cormeir dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Cormeir shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Michalek sprawls well. Michalek wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Cormeir gets slowly back to his feet.
Cormeir drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Cormeir postures up in Michalek's guard and throws a big left but Michalek blocks it.
Cain Cormeir overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Cormeir throws an elbow that misses. Michalek uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cormeir's guard. Nice move by Michalek!
Cormeir manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Cormeir pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Cormeir in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Michalek is rocked!
Cormeir postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Michalek badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Cormeir around the waist but Cormeir pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Cormeir is the winner by TKO! Cormeir jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:37 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cain Cormeir!
Cain Cormeir retains his light heavyweight title!
Post fight, an emotional Cain Cormeir said 'This was a tough fight but I knew I would win... ★I want a super fight against the HW champ Felix Cena★ I will write my name in the UPF record books when I smash that goof!!!'.
