Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frito Lei (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the body from Lei misses
and Grimes counters with a nice uppercut.
Grimes lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Lei lands a nice looking kick to the body. Grimes takes a step back to recover.
Lei lands a jab-cross combination.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A slow jab from Lei misses its intended target.
Lei tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lei throws a right and a left that both miss.
Lei tries to bum rush Grimes with a series of wild strikes but Grimes uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Grimes lands a jab.
Frito Lei seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Oooooh!!! Lei has knocked Grimes down with a huge combo! Lei steps away and waves a wobbly Grimes back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Lei tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Grimes counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Lei throws a chopping leg kick but Grimes manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Grimes connects with a high kick.
Grimes lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

Lei is rocked!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Lei throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Grimes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Oh Lei is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lei throws a series of punches but Grimes avoids them all with ease.
Grimes lands a slapping body shot.
Lei seems to have got his legs back now.
Lei moves in looking to clinch but Grimes pushes him off.
Grimes scores with a push kick.
Lei tries to close the distance and clinch up but Grimes swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Grimes moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Grimes lands with a kick to the ribs.
Lei is looking to clinch but Grimes is avoiding it.
Grimes stalks Lei and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lei's face. Lei staggers backwards, shaken.
Lei throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Lei clinches.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lei misses with a punch to the body.
The referee is keeping an eye on Grimes - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Lei breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grimes takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lei tries to clinch there but Grimes circles away.
Lei throws a sloppy head kick and Grimes moves out of range easily.
Lei on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Grimes dodges the punch combination from Lei.
Lei tries to clinch but Grimes is having none of it.
Lei throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Grimes's head.
Lei lands a big head kick that sends Grimes to the canvas! Lei follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
