The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tibbs closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burt quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Tibbs trying to control from Burt's half guard. Burt has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Tibbs in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Tibbs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tibbs seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
