The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boyko looks to land a right hand but Gonzalez moved out of range.
Gonzalez works the jab nicely.
Boyko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Gonzalez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Boyko.
Gonzalez lands a head kick!
Gonzalez clinches with his opponent.
Boyko using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Gonzalez has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Boyko is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Gonzalez has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Boyko is looking to defend but Gonzalez has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Boyko! Gonzalez pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Boyko taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Pip Gonzalez!
After winning the bout, Pip Gonzalez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
