Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jackie Soap (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timmeh Larson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jackie Soap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Timmeh Larson!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, Andrew Berry and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larson fails in his attempt to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Soap. Larson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Soap looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Larson tries to close the distance and clinch but Soap swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A jab from Larson does it's job there.
Soap tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Larson swivels and escapes.
A combination from Larson does no damage.
Larson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Soap manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Soap shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Larson closes the distance and clinches.
Soap has Larson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Larson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Soap changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Larson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Soap shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Larson is trying to defend but Soap finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Soap wants to free his trapped foot but Larson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Soap tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Soap is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Larson is in real trouble.

Larson is pressed up against the cage. Soap has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Larson down to the mat. Larson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Soap throws a body punch but Larson moves out of range.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Soap shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Larson as he avoids it easily.

Nice takedown defense from Larson. No joy for Soap on that attempt.

Soap just content to control the position.
Larson is trying to work for a sweep but Soap has mounted him!

Soap is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Larson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Larson is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Timmeh Larson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!

Larson tries to roll over but Soap keeps him under control.

Soap is looking to stand up but Larson won't let him.

Soap decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soap not doing much here.
Larson is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Soap controlling the pace.
Timmeh Larson is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Soap has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jackie Soap has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Soap moves away from the strike by Larson.
Larson avoids the head kick by Soap.

Soap fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Larson to the ground. Soap is now in Larson's guard.
Jackie Soap overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Larson can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Soap controls the pace.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

I think Larson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
