PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Karate Kid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bogdan Petrycki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Kid might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Kung Fu Fighting. Petrycki comes into a darkened arena with his song building. TNT kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Petrycki throws out the jab.
Nice uppercut there from Kid.
Kid scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kid scores with a shot to the body.
Petrycki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A big left from Kid misses.
Petrycki moves out of range of the strikes.
Petrycki scores with a punch to the head.
Petrycki throws a low kick but Kid avoids it.
Petrycki stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Petrycki lands with an uppercut that bounces Kid off the cage and back into range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kid looks to land a combination but Petrycki avoids it well.
Petrycki tries to score with a low kick but Kid moves his leg out of the way.
Kid seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Petrycki takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Kid cracks Petrycki with a right hand to the side of the head.

Petrycki fails in his attempt to clinch.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kid. Petrycki does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kid smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Petrycki throws out a leg kick but Kid moves out of range and Petrycki only half commits.
A head kick by Kid misses
and Petrycki counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Kid scores with a shot to the body.
Petrycki on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kid. Kid obviously looking to wear him down.
Karate Kid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Petrycki connects with the punch.
Petrycki misses the shot to the body.
Kid misses with a low kick as Petrycki jumps back.
Kid thows a left - swing and a miss!
Petrycki throws a front kick aimed at Kid's knee but Kid avoids it well.
Kid ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Petrycki moves away.
Petrycki thows a body shot but no joy.
Kid throws a good cross that connects.

Kid swings for the body but Petrycki moves out of range.
Petrycki moves away from the strike by Kid.
Kid blocks a head kick by Petrycki.
A head kick misses from Kid.
Petrycki scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Kid jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Petrycki scores with a hook to the body. Kid takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Petrycki takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Petrycki.
Kid throws a sloppy body shot
and Petrycki counters with a straight right hand.

Kid is rocked!
Petrycki bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oh Kid is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Petrycki closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Kid! Petrycki dives in looking to finish! Kid is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
