The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brennan shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Stevens as he avoids it easily.
No joy there for Brennan, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stevens lands with a shot to the body.
Brennan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Stevens moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Brennan has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Stevens is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Stevens shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Brennan's guard.

Stevens is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Stevens wants to control from the top but Brennan keeps moving.

Stevens in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Brennan tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Stevens!
