Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Marlo Stanfield (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Robeau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanfield kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Timber. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marlo Stanfield!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bill Robeau!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Trevor Gratis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robeau changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Stanfield tries to avoid it but Robeau manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Stanfield to the ground. Stanfield escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Robeau fails to land the takedown.
A punch combination from Robeau misses.
Robeau shoots in for a takedown but Stanfield shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Marlo Stanfield has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bill Robeau.
Stanfield scores with a body shot.
Robeau dives in and grabs Stanfield's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stanfield pushes down on Robeau's head and hops out.
Robeau misses with a wild body shot.
Robeau takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.


It looks like Bill Robeau has been cut.

Robeau with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stanfield to score with a decent uppercut.
Robeau shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Stanfield defends it nicely.
Stanfield lands a nice shot to the body.

Stanfield jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
A slow jab from Robeau misses its intended target.
Stanfield works Robeau's body with a nice hook.
Stanfield scores with a sloppy right hand. Robeau should have avoided that one.
Stanfield defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Robeau.

Robeau looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Robeau throws a big right hand that misses.
Robeau postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Robeau accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Robeau throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stanfield works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Robeau is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Stanfield is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Stanfield has escaped and now he's on top!

Stanfield gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Stanfield throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Robeau on the side of the head.
Stanfield dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Stanfield fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Robeau looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stanfield keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stanfield looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Stanfield misses with a two punch combination.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Robeau shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Stanfield pinned against the cage. Stanfield gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Robeau tries for a takedown but Stanfield sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Stanfield works Robeau's body with a nice hook.
Robeau looks winded!

Stanfield cracks Robeau with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Stanfield has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Robeau to stand back up!


That has opened up Bill Robeau's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
BOOM! Stanfield lands a beautiful left hook that drops Robeau. Robeau tries to recover but Stanfield is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Robeau lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marlo Stanfield!
A less than humble Marlo Stanfield misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
