The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terry throws a lazy head kick
and Newman counters with a nice leg kick.
Terry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Newman scores with a head kick. Terry tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time.
Terry shoots for a takedown but Newman saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Terry misses with a kick to the body
and Newman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Terry's guard.
Terry is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Newman frees his head nicely. Oh but Terry has switched to an armbar! Newman is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
