Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Colin Delaney (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and RC King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Colin Delaney!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, RC King!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Delaney defends well against a solid takedown attempt from King.
Delaney slaps away a takedown attempt from King, before circling back to the center of the mat.
King misses with a takedown attempt - Delaney sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Colin Delaney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of RC King.

and Delaney counters with a shoot takedown. King fights it but they end up in guard.
King pulls Delaney in to control the position.
Delaney is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as King holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by RC King.

and Delaney counters with a nice double leg into guard.
King is controlling Delaney's posture.

Delaney wants to control from the top but King keeps moving.
Delaney is looking to work some ground and pound but King has wrist control.
King is adopting a defensive guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

and Delaney counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in King's guard now.
King is trying to control the position but Delaney postures up.
Delaney slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

King really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Delaney. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
King avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Delaney.

Delaney tries for a kimura but King is defending well.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King taking a bit of punishment here - Delaney scoring with strikes.
Delaney has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Delaney tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Delaney has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
You can see the frustration on King's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. RC King was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Delaney gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Delaney has control of King's left arm, preventing King from doing any damage.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
King trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Delaney manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

King is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Delaney loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Delaney bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.

King pulls Delaney in close to prevent any damage.

OK we're going to have a standup here. RC King hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

King fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Delaney to the ground. King is now in Delaney's guard.
Delaney tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Delaney bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.

Delaney trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
King is pulling down on Delaney's head. It's preventing any offense from Delaney, at least for the moment.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

King wants to control but Delaney is having none of it.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if King can do anything to dispel that myth.
King is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Delaney is staying active.
King reaches up to try and control the position but Delaney seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! King rolls and tries to escape and now Delaney has his back!
King can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Colin Delaney showed his dominance in that final round.
