Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Jarvis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benson Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jarvis has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Timmy Jarvis.

Henderson shoots in and bounces Jarvis off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Jarvis is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Henderson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Jarvis.
Jarvis has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Jarvis throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Henderson's waist but Henderson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jarvis off to one side.
Henderson shoots in for a double leg but Jarvis sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Henderson closes the distance and clinches up with Jarvis, looking for a takedown. Henderson pushes Jarvis against the cage but Jarvis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Henderson lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Jarvis has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Jarvis and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Jarvis will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jarvis goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Jarvis pulls Henderson in close to prevent any damage.

Jarvis isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Henderson stacks Jarvis on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Henderson!

Jarvis looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
