Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Dillan Fox and Robert Douchet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StPimp will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
StPimp misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
StPimp tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Steele defends well and StPimp ends up having to push Steele into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bob Steele has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Van StPimp.

Steele decides to pull guard.
Steele might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Steele looking for a sweep. Not yet Steele, not yet.
StPimp has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Steele is proving hard to escape from.
Steele wants to hit a switch here but StPimp passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Steele there!

StPimp misses with a few strikes there.
Steele defends well against a solid takedown attempt from StPimp.
StPimp will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Steele closes the distance and pushes StPimp back into the cage.
StPimp is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Steele pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Steele gets control of StPimp's arms and successfully pulls guard. Steele will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Still in half guard, Steele seems content to control.

Steele is taking a breather. StPimp says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
StPimp is trying to stand.
Steele is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Steele is sneakily working for an arm triangle but StPimp sees it coming and defends easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Bob Steele will probably get the nod.

Steele closes the distance and clinches.

StPimp breaks the clinch.

StPimp gets caught napping as Steele dives in and scores a takedown. StPimp manages to retain guard.
Steele stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. StPimp swivels though and keeps the full guard.

StPimp is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

StPimp has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Steele off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

StPimp tries to sprawl but Steele drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Steele stands up and beckons StPimp to join him on the feet.

Steele closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Steele lands in his opponent's guard.
Steele wants to control from the top but StPimp keeps moving.

Steele stands up and waves to StPimp to follow him.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Steele throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
StPimp tries to clinch but Steele is having none of it.

Steele darts in and clinches StPimp up against the cage.
Steele is looking to break free of the clinch but StPimp has double underhooks.
StPimp has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Steele after a bit of a struggle.
StPimp is trying to pull guard but Steele has him pressed against the cage.
StPimp pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Steele wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but StPimp has him pressed against the cage.

Steele turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Steele manages to end up in side control.

Steele decides to stand back up.
