Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fujiyama Akagono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jadaveon Hall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jadaveon Hall is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jadaveon Hall!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Akagono moves in looking to clinch but Hall pushes him off.
Akagono dives in for a single leg takedown but Hall sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hall wants to break the clinch but can't.

Akagono decides to pull guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Akagono looking for a guillotine here but Hall defends easily.

Akagono working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hall doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hall manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Akagono has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Hall decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Akagono, up you get!
Hall moves out of range of the body kick from Akagono.
Hall scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Akagono on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Hall keeps the fight on the outside.
Hall leaves Akagono with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A jab from Hall finds it's way through Akagono's defenses.
Fujiyama Akagono seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Akagono is rocked!
Akagono takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hall lands a right hook to the body.
A cross from Hall lands.
Akagono shoots in for a takedown but Hall shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fujiyama Akagono. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Akagono drives through and clinches with Hall against the cage.
Hall tries to circle away but Akagono has him pinned against the cage.
Akagono tries for a takedown but Hall manages to get underhooks.

Akagono has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Hall regains guard immediately.
Akagono trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Akagono trying to control but Hall is working from the bottom.
Hall really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Akagono. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We're going to have a standup here because Fujiyama Akagono wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Hall moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Akagono shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Hall defends it nicely.
Hall throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hall lands a slapping body shot.
Akagono throws a wild hook but Hall just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Akagono gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Hall raises his hands in celebration and walks away!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jadaveon Hall!
