Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ben Keats!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kofi Kingston!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingston closes the distance but Keats moves to the side

and Keats counters by moving into the clinch.

Keats tightens his grip and picks Kingston up, before dumping him to the ground. Kingston manages to land in guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Keats is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kingston utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kingston looking for a sweep. Not yet Kingston, not yet.
Kingston being controlled here, momentarily.
Keats passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Kingston being controlled for a moment.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Keats has control of an arm but Kingston manages to advance to Keats's back!
Our spies down at at Weed Nation inform us that Kingston has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Keats turns into Kingston and is now in his guard.
Keats stays in close to Kingston's body and controls the position.
Kingston is striking off his back. Keats thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard.
Keats lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Well, if Keats is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Kingston trying to hold on to Keats's head to control him but Keats postures up.
Keats controlling the action here.
Keats has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kingston is in trouble now - Keats has advanced to mount!

Keats is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Kingston is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Kingston flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Keats anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Kingston and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Keats slips an arm under Kingston chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Keats has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Keats is squeezing on Kingston like an anaconda would it's prey. Kingston fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ben Keats!
Ben Keats seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
