Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Kimble (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug McDonald (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kimble's entrance music is Ecstasy Of Gold. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Kimble seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but McDonald does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

You can see the frustration on Kimble's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
McDonald really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Kimble.

Kimble isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. McDonald stacks Kimble on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by McDonald!

Kimble shoots in for a double leg but McDonald sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kimble is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
McDonald fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kimble has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

McDonald gets caught flat footed, as Kimble shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kimble is fighting to break McDonald's control of his arms but McDonald is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Kimble throws an elbow that misses. McDonald uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kimble's guard. Nice move by McDonald!
