Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between M J Shain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slopey Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Shain might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Thunderstruck. Smith is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Jawga Boyz - Rollin Like A Redneck. M J Shain could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Slopey Smith's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Shain throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Shain misses with a body shot.
Smith buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A big right from Shain misses.
Smith throws a leg kick which misses Shain's front leg but catches the back leg as Shain tries to avoid it.
Decent striking displayed by Smith there.
Shain is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Smith connects with a body shot.
M J Shain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Shain throws a poor cross that misses

and Smith counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Shain's guard now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Shain isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Smith stacks Shain on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Smith!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smith perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Smith scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Shain regains full guard. Nicely done.
Smith looking to sit in guard and control but Shain gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Shain throws an elbow that misses. Smith uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Shain's guard. Nice move by Smith!

Shain is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.

Shain working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Smith doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Smith manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Shain is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Smith frees his head nicely. Oh but Shain has switched to an armbar! Smith is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
