Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Mahone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin MacOwan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mahone comes to the cage accompanied by Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A shot to the liver by MacOwan. Beautiful body shot.
Mahone slips a straight right by MacOwan.
MacOwan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mahone.
Mahone jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Mahone thows a left - swing and a miss!
Mahone lands with a kick to the temple. MacOwan shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
MacOwan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Mahone.
Mahone misses with a straight right.
MacOwan's coach down at Jef Li's MMA(13 coaches, 49 cap) was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on MacOwan's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Mahone fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt MacOwan.
Mahone's hands are dropping dangerously low here and MacOwan connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Mahone scrambles back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Mahone defending well as MacOwan loads up on a big left hand.
Mahone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Mahone moves out of range of the strikes.
MacOwan chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mahone can pounce on him.

MacOwan avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
MacOwan keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

MacOwan is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent.
A left lands for Mahone.
Mahone connects with a looping right hand.
Mahone lands a nice looking body shot.

MacOwan needs to keep his hands up - Mahone had a free shot at his head there.
Mahone throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
MacOwan looks winded!
Mahone slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Mahone catches MacOwan with a right, a left, a right. It's raining punches and MacOwan forgot an umbrella! Another punch and he's down. This one is over!
