Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Devon Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piotrek Nowak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nowak has chosen Kanye West - Clique ft. Big Sean & Jay-Z as his entrance music. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Gonzalez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nowak looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gonzalez wants to control but Nowak is keeping him busy.

Gonzalez grinds an elbow into Nowak's temple.
Nowak is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Gonzalez asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Nowak takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Gonzalez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Nowak has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gonzalez but great work by Nowak.

Gonzalez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Gonzalez fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Nowak is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Devon Gonzalez decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
