Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dino Byers!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mike Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Byers shoots in and drives through. Tyson sprawls well.
Tyson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Byers is fending him off so far but Tyson persists. Nope, Byers circles away and we're back to standing.
Tyson shoots in but no luck this time.
Tyson slaps away a takedown attempt from Byers, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Tyson tries to keep at a distance but Byers has taken the fight into the clinch.
Byers tries to throw a body punch but Tyson avoids it by throwing Byers back against the cage.

Tyson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Byers moves into the clinch successfully.
Byers blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Tyson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Byers is looking to take this one to the mat.

Byers lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Byers is trying to break the clinch but Tyson is controlling him.

Tyson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Byers tries to avoid it but Tyson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Byers to the ground. Byers escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Tyson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Byers manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tyson darts in looking for a takedown but Byers gets double underhooks and turns Tyson into the cage.
Tyson drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Tyson prevents Byers from breaking the clinch.
Tyson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Byers just stands there and leans against the cage.
Tyson changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Byers fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Byers throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tyson stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tyson looks winded!

Tyson gets tackled into the cage by Byers. Byers maintains the clinch.
Tyson wants a takedown.
Tyson tries to throw a body punch but Byers avoids it by throwing Tyson back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Tyson tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Tyson gets underhooks to prevent Byers's takedown attempt.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Tyson has eaten all the pies!

Byers pulls Tyson into guard.
Tyson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Byers looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Tyson preventing the sweep.

Byers is looking to sweep but instead, Tyson has passed into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tyson is trying to control the action in half guard but Byers is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Byers has one foot on Tyson's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Byers has managed to clinch.
Tyson tries to pull guard but Byers forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Byers slowing the pace effectively.
Byers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Byers fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Byers effectively controlling the action here.

Byers looking for a takedown.
Tyson is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Byers is defending well.
Tyson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Byers has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Byers tries to circle away but Tyson has him pinned against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Byers - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Byers gets caught flat footed, as Tyson shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Tyson or perhaps it was just good defense by Byers which made him look bad.
Tyson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Byers manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tyson on his heels. He'll look to pass Tyson's guard now, I'm sure.

Byers closes the distance and clinches up with Tyson, looking for a takedown. Byers pushes Tyson against the cage but Tyson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Tyson controls Byers momentarily but Byers frees himself.
Tyson is striking but Byers is not phased and passes to half guard.
Tyson throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Byers manages to pass to side control.

Byers fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Tyson is looking to regain half guard here but Byers keeps moving and retains side control.

Byers stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Tyson swinging wildly here.
Tyson is breathing heavily.
Tyson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Byers blocks a head kick by Tyson.

Byers seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Byers shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Tyson as he jumps to the side.

and Byers makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Byers dives in and grabs Tyson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tyson pushes down on Byers's head and hops out.
Byers dives in for a single leg takedown but Tyson sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Tyson is thwarting Byers's attempts to control the position.

Byers has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tyson is working away from the top position though.
Mike Tyson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dino Byers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
