Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Buffcake (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex DeLarge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brutus Buffcake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Alex DeLarge!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buffcake throws a combination. DeLarge tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Buffcake stuffs the takedown attempt from DeLarge. DeLarge gets slowly back to his feet.
Buffcake wants to land a leg kick but DeLarge is out of range.
A head kick misses from DeLarge.
No joy there for Buffcake, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

DeLarge shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Buffcake is trying to defend but DeLarge finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

DeLarge is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

DeLarge is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Buffcake is just riding it out for now. DeLarge eventually gives up the hold.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

DeLarge looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

DeLarge seems to be looking for submissions.

DeLarge is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Buffcake defends it well.

DeLarge is working for a submission of some sort.
DeLarge wants to free his trapped foot but Buffcake is holding on for dear life with his legs.

DeLarge is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

DeLarge is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Buffcake sees it coming and defends easily.

DeLarge is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Buffcake still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Buffcake has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
DeLarge can't do much from the bottom here.
DeLarge is looking for a sweep.

DeLarge manages to work his way to half guard, despite Buffcake's best efforts.

DeLarge is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Buffcake pulls his head out easily.
DeLarge tries to get to full guard but Buffcake has control of the leg.
DeLarge is trying to control but can't.
DeLarge regains full guard. Nicely done.
Buffcake postures up.
Buffcake knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for DeLarge on the ground.

DeLarge looking for a guillotine here but Buffcake defends easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Buffcake avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

DeLarge throws his legs up looking for a submission but Buffcake uses it to pass to side control.
DeLarge gets back to half guard.
DeLarge wants to get back to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
DeLarge is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Buffcake's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Buffcake's back!

DeLarge working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

DeLarge is persistently looking for the submission but Buffcake is defending it well.

DeLarge thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.

DeLarge is looking for the choke from the back position but Buffcake is controlling his hands well.

DeLarge is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Buffcake has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

DeLarge has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Buffcake! Can he survive? No! He's out! DeLarge gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
