Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fritz Tyler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cian Murtagh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murtagh has chosen Gwen Stacy - I Was Born With Two Last Names as his entrance music. Cian Murtagh told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murtagh keeps the fight on the outside.
Murtagh misses with the combination.

Murtagh closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Tyler did well to prevent Murtagh getting side control.

Murtagh closes the distance and clinches.
Tyler can't get the takedown.
Tyler goes for a takedown in the clinch but Murtagh prevents it.

Tyler decides to pull guard.

Tyler looking for a guillotine here but Murtagh defends easily.

Tyler seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Murtagh tries to stand but Tyler is controlling from the bottom.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Fritz Tyler wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Murtagh tries to clinch up but Tyler circles away and keeps his distance.
Murtagh scores with a nice strike.
Murtagh is looking to clinch.
Tyler looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

Tyler fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Murtagh to the ground. Tyler is now in Murtagh's guard.
Murtagh is pulling down on Tyler's head. It's preventing any offense from Tyler, at least for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Murtagh keeping moving, preventing Tyler from controlling successfully.

Murtagh wants to get back to his feet but Tyler is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Murtagh looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Tyler works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Murtagh wants to get back to his feet.
