The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Richmond closes the distance and pushes Ward back into the cage.
Richmond misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ward.
Ward tries to score a body lock takedown but Richmond shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Ward tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Richmond works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
Ward lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Richmond!

Ward is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Richmond is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Richmond flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Ward anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Richmond and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Ward slips an arm under Richmond chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Ward has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Ward is squeezing on Richmond like an anaconda would it's prey. Richmond fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
