Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guigui Borgne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lima comes to the cage accompanied by DMX - Ain't no sunshine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

19 - 35 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Guigui Borgne!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Mauricio Rocha and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A chopping leg kick lands by Lima.
Lima shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Borgne eats them both and turns towards Lima to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Guigui Borgne has been cut.
Lima lands a high kick!
Borgne is rocked!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Lima lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Borgne circles away quickly and effectively.
Lima drops Borgne with a left right combo! Lima follows him down to the ground into side control.
Borgne is still in real trouble! Can Lima finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Borgne is looking for a sweep.
Borgne is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lima is controlling him well.
Lima tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lima has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Borgne seems to have recovered his senses.
Lima tries for a kimura but Borgne is defending well.
Borgne is looking for a sweep.
Lima wants to stand but Borgne has his arm trapped.

Lima content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

An elbow from Lima crashes against the mat.
Lima is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Borgne has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lima tries to stand but Borgne is controlling his head.

You can see the frustration on Borgne's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Borgne is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lima has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Lima creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Borgne sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
Borgne wants to get back to his feet.
Borgne is looking to regain half guard here but Lima keeps moving and retains side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lima goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Borgne has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lima but great work by Borgne.

Borgne stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Lima slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Borgne is defended easily by Lima.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Borgne shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Lima as he avoids it easily.
Lima throws a series of punches but Borgne avoids them all with ease.

Douglas Lima has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Guigui Borgne.

Lima scoring well with a low kick there.
Lima lands with a right hand.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lima connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Lima leaves Borgne with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Borgne looks winded!
Lima fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Borgne on the side of the head.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Lima lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Borgne has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Borgne and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Borgne shoots for a double leg takedown but Lima sprawls well. He's pushed Borgne's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Lima connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Borgne! He's out on his feet! Lima rushes in and drops Borgne with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Douglas Lima!
Douglas Lima spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
