Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Alberto Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathin Horvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Horvin has chosen Bodies by Drowning Pool as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Alberto Lara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jonathin Horvin!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lara manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Horvin on his heels. He'll look to pass Horvin's guard now, I'm sure.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

Horvin has his foot on Lara's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lara works his way back into a safe position though.
Lara is looking to work some ground and pound but Horvin has wrist control.
Horvin is trying to keep Lara in close.

Horvin wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Horvin jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Lara is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Lara and Horvin has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horvin decides to stand back up.
No luck for Lara with that takedown attempt.
Horvin throws a right hand that Lara ducks under and follows up with a left that Lara also avoids with ease.

Horvin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Lara defends well and Horvin ends up having to push Lara into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Horvin scores with a nice short uppercut.
Lara tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lara is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Horvin is keeping busy.

Horvin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lara walks away with a smile on his face. Horvin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Lara gets tackled into the cage by Horvin. Horvin maintains the clinch.
Lara drops down looking for an ankle pick but Horvin pulls his leg out and moves away.
Lara stuffs the takedown.

Lara shoots in looking for a takedown. Horvin tries to sprawl out of it but Lara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Horvin manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lara tries for a takedown but Horvin sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lara throws a head kick that misses
and Horvin counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Horvin tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lara sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Horvin somewhat.

Horvin rushes Lara and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lara breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Horvin closes the distance and clinches up with Lara, looking for a takedown. Horvin pushes Lara against the cage but Lara circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Lara lands a good knee to the midsection. Horvin won't want to take too many of those.

Lara tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Lara manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lara sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Horvin reaches up to try and control the position but Lara seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Horvin rolls and tries to escape and now Lara has his back!

Lara working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
Horvin looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Lara has the hooks in. Horvin is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Horvin breaks Lara's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Horvin controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Lara trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

A close second round but Jonathin Horvin will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Lara shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Horvin defends it nicely.

and Horvin counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

A left and a right from Horvin both land. Nice combination.

Horvin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Horvin lands a head kick. Lara smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Lara shoots in and drives through. Horvin sprawls well.
Oh Lara is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Horvin Rushes Lara and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Lara is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Horvin Piles on the pressure and Lara crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
