Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Ken Kahne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reza Katebi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ken Kahne!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Reza Katebi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katebi thows a left - swing and a miss!
Kahne throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A decent looking cross lands there for Katebi.

Katebi drives through with a takedown into Kahne's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Katebi wants to pass the guard but Kahne is keeping the position.
Katebi postures up.
Katebi trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Kahne throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Katebi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kahne wants to improve his position but instead Katebi has moved into half guard.
Katebi moves into full mount! Kahne won't be happy about that!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kahne is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

The referee warns Kahne that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Katebi jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kahne manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Katebi cracks Kahne with a big right hand but Kahne just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Katebi in side control lands a decent elbow.
Katebi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kahne keeps working.
Katebi lands a nice forearm strike.
Check out the look on Katebi's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Kahne manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kahne is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kahne seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Katebi controlling the position well.
Katebi is looking for a sweep. Kahne is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Katebi regains full guard. Nicely done.

Katebi throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Katebi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kahne!
Kahne tries to hold on but Katebi postures up.

Katebi lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Kahne really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kahne regains half guard.
Katebi is keen to just control but Kahne is a slippery customer.
Kahne is looking to improve his position.
Katebi thows a huge punch but Kahne dodges it nicely.
Kahne moves into full guard.

Katebi is looking to work some ground and pound but Kahne has wrist control.
Katebi trying to control the position from guard on top but Kahne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Katebi is working Kahne over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Kahne is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Katebi trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kahne manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Kahne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Katebi has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kahne has managed to get both his arms back between Katebi's legs - danger averted.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kahne stands and throws Katebi's legs to the side, diving into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Reza Katebi dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Kahne is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Katebi seems to be working for a kimura but Kahne defends the submission attempt.

Kahne tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Katebi has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Katebi lands a heavy elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Reza Katebi has got the better of the ground game so far.
Katebi is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kahne can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Katebi has control of Kahne's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kahne regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Kahne regains half guard.

Katebi is working for a submission of some sort.

Kahne has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Katebi. Oh but Kahne has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Katebi goes limp - he's gone! Kahne jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Ken Kahne!
