Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cranky Mark!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Noob Saibot!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Nard Betker.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mark defending well as Saibot loads up on a big left hand.
Mark connects with a solid leg kick.
Saibot misses with a body shot.
Mark lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Mark throws a head kick but Saibot moves out of range.
Mark misses with a body kick.
Saibot moves out of range of the body kick from Mark.
Mark fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Saibot checks it well.
Saibot scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Saibot is looking to clinch.
Saibot chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mark can pounce on him.
Mark throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Mark throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Saibot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Mark tries to land a front kick but Saibot steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Cranky Mark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mark seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Mark pivots, looking for a leg kick but Saibot is out of range and Mark settles back down.

Mark dives in for a single leg takedown but Saibot sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Mark throws a leg kick but Saibot sees it coming and moves out of range.
Mark shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Saibot as he avoids it easily.

Some bone on bone action there as Saibot checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Saibot is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

and Mark counters with a nice double leg into side control. Saibot won't be happy with that.

Saibot uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Mark has time to react.

Saibot steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mark. That one must have hurt.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mark accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mark keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Saibot's head.
Mark is in close to Saibot's body, working some short punches and elbows.

After winning the bout, Noob Saibot thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
